There is a secret––a paradox––that anyone who has deep friendships knows: When you give of yourself wholeheartedly to your friends, you get back much, much more in return. That's why we're inviting you to become a Friend of Respite Care. Together, we'll lean on each other. Together, we'll be better. Because that's what friends are for.

Friends of Respite Care is a circle of caring individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of children with special needs. As a Friend of Respite Care, your gift will go directly to instilling hope in children who are vulnerable. These children have to work much harder to reach daily goals that others take for granted. Your gift will be deeply meaningful to a child with special needs. It proves that someone actually cares; that someone is really, truly a friend––in both word and deed.

Today, Respite Care is touching the lives of more children than ever before. What started 22 years ago, with a few concerned parents, is now used by many. We couldn't do this without the help of our good friends,
who continue to present their gifts of hope to our children. Those hopes are for a better life. One without fear of harm. One where you don't have to go to bed with an empty tummy. One where you are surrounded by people who love you.

Whether you're a new friend––or renewing your membership––we truly hope you'll be a Friend of Respite for a long, long time to come. Your gift will help make a difference each and every day as we provide the specialized care for children who have been harmed and need the safe haven that our emergency shelter provides. Your gift will also support the cost of care for children who have loving parents––but not the financial resources needed to care for a child with special needs. We also ask that you consider the gift of membership for your friends, family members, and business associates. The cost of membership is minimal. The difference it makes, however, is priceless.
